What's your favorite race, or in your opinion the "best" race, for a Cleric? Choose and discuss.

I would have to say Dwarf. They have high Wisdom and Stamina and it was the only race I ever played that was not encumbered in my early years after I obtained some plate armor.
Ugly, yes, but good all-around stats in my opinion.

Yep, dwarf is definitely the best race to choose as a cleric . I really like the plate helmet of ToV or Kael I don't remember atm

I'd say Dwarves were best as far as stats went. Good str and sta along with decent wis. But Dark Elves were evil! Evil clerics! Awesome.

...yeah... go make a dwarf... that means less asslings with sneak around to steal my "uber cleric" glory

Yeah, I really want to say dark elf, but dwarf just makes such a great cleric.

I'm really torn on which to play... I might have to go dwarf and just grind up my Neriak faction haha

I loved my gnome cleric so very much, I can't say any other race than gnome.

My memory might be a teeny bit rusty, but for the love of Yeahlight, I can't remember ever having seen a Gnome cleric.

*hangs head in shame*

Anyway.. I'm definitely roll a Cleric, just not sure if it's going to be my main or not. I'm thinking either Halfling, Erudite or High Elf.

More and more I am thinking it would be fun to be an evil Erudite cleric and raise my faction high with Neriak. I cant say there is any reason other than roleplay but shouldn't that be enough?

Or how hard would it be to create a Human cleric that worships Cazic Thule and try to get into Cabilis after some faction work. I always stood in awe when I saw a DE sitting in the Cabilis bank.

Not too hard, for the most part. Worshipping CT gives you a bit of a head start, and you can raise most of the necessary factions by killing huge numbers of iksar bandits. There's not really a good way to raise Scaled Mystics faction, though, so you'd always have to avoid the shammy guild.

Human CT cleric with Paineel Shield(looked like the MM shield but darker color graphic) or a Erudite CT cleric either way those 2 race/class combos would make me consider playing a cleric.

I, too, chose Dwarf.

Something about plate armor on a Dwarf always made me want a Dwarf alt. I finally made that happen and purchased the neon green Emerald Dragonscale Breastplate. Oh, that was a great day!

I am a firm believer in dwarf clerics. Even though gnomes are so cute and look pretty bad ass in plate AND they can wear robes(for the very few,rare robes clerics can wear).

Erudite because you so rarely see clerics surrounded by undead and Paineel is just that. Also Erudite plate is sweet.

I enjoyed my High Elf cleric a lot. I don't think I would pick any other.

i prefer evil little gnomish clerics.
