Haha, those were the days, I remember someone actually doing that to my warrior, except they charmed me into a bunch of kodiaks who proceeded to rape me. I lost my newly purchased two handed axe. Back when even weapons were lootable, and before warriors had critical hits.

I came from UO, and played Rallos Zek from the start. Being involved in guild wars and political drama with the top tier guilds was the best gaming experience I've had to date. Insanity's Edge for life.

I also played on Sullon Zek when that first launched. Another badass server. Was good team cause being the underdog is just awesome. Sanctus Lumen guild ftw.

How incredible to be looking up one's past online and find themselves mentioned fondly in a forum. Thank you Tarpok for your kind memories of Illya Soulsaver. I loved playing her, she was two parts pixel and one part human heart.

The Rathe was my first mmo. Illya was born on September 9, 1999 RLT and I dare say she was well thought of when she woke for the last time there. I miss the friends she made there. Cryel (A great companion and understanding friend lost), Nope (Illya's beloved Wielder), Cassie, Grey...there are too many to mention. I remember you Tarpok.

Rallos Zek - it was brutal, but I learned a lot about the game. More than I needed to know Discord server was too intense, i stayed for two days playing that. sold my everquest account and haven't looked back, excited to get back into emu.

I started in 1999 on Mithaniel Marr with my bard Menenolly and alt monk Ghanima. I was a member of the guild Mystic Legacy who decided to split off and join the new server Drinal. I reluctantly moved to Drinal waving goodbye to a few friends (Grumpie and Kharhag) and changed my main to Bamfurlong a beastlord and had a blast in the guild White Wind until 2010 ish. Mercs ruined it for me. Now I'm classic or nothing.

When I was on Mith Marr i started a few months after the game launch so I started off a bit behind the power gamers who would dominate the server (After Life). In the beginning though the AL guild was pretty nice to the newbies, they even lined us up on Dec 25 1999 and gave us presents. Ooh Black Iron Girdle which I kept all these years.

Oh I just remembered that my first character was a dwarf paladin on one of the zeks. As a level 1 I walked up to a level 20 and tried to talk to him. Not knowing about hitting enter to talk as soon as I typed "a" I swung at him and missed. I was so embarrassed I ran away back into Kaladim and camped out. The next day I created my main character on Mith Marr.

December 99 I began as Diviros High Elf Enchanter on Rallos Zek. I was a founding member of the guild <Revered> and stated there until late 2000.

I Moved to Brell (not many here from Brell!) at that time and I loved it. Took me a month before I stopped jumping up every time I heard someone casting a nuke. Anyway I was mostly on Sulareis DE Cleric, Raize DE Warrior and Tssyen Iksar monk. I can't really remember any of the guilds I started out in but I eventually landed in Evoluxa and that's pretty much where I finished out my EQ career at in 2003.

I grew up and only played on Luclin. I was a dark elf cleric, and used a family last name. I ended up bumping into my aunt's nephew that I didn't know, but we ended up talking a lot. I was shocked when someone from my family played EQ, and was on the same server that I was.

Browsing this thread, I noticed some familiar names. I was guilded briefly with Susansilver/Jace and we even knew each after EQ in p99.

I was originally in Knights of Eternal Light way back in 99/2000 with Silench, Nohky, Agreu, Catrinka, et al. I learned Druiding in North Karana from a Druid named Bummey who was charm soloing. He showed me a few things and I was enthralled by what we could do.

Later as our guild grew, we became Mortal Omen and tried raiding a bit. It didn't go well, but we had a lot of fun in Velious They all eventually moved over to WoW, and we lost touch after that.

I was a power gamer at the time, in EQ for about 12 hours a day probably. I wanted a raid guild so I joined with Illusions of Apathy for a while. Later on, Highbird created Transcended Time and that was really the foundation for my raiding career from then onwards. We blasted through all content and attracted people from popular high-end guilds such as Shadowed Soul. Highbird left around the time Planes of Power came out, so we disbanded for the most part.

Not long afterward, some members of The Stone Coven (previously had another name, but I don't recall it. Reywin or Kalley, do you remember? Whipachaw? lol created Hellfire Club and we powered through Planes of Power and into new content to become the biggest and most hardcore raiding guild on Cazic Thule at the time. There was no greater puller than Sunchyne!

Some amazing friends came out of that guild. Sylkee, Bittasa, Echota, Hittem, and so many more than I could possibly name. It was, for me, the Woodstock of gaming. It doesn't matter how I explain it, no one can understand what it was like to play EverQuest in its heyday if they weren't there for it.

Thanks EverQuest for the many years of fun and memories. Had a lot going on in life at the time and it was the perfect escape while I dealt with it all. With this thread being largely inactive, I doubt anything would come of it, but drop me a note if you ever want to reminisce. Especially if you're an old Cazic Thule pal. Shoutout to my old Druiding bud, Nyene Lacher!

Hiya, welcome to the forum . I wasn't on your server (started on Xev then /movelogged over to Antonius Bayle when that went live) and never had any real interest in raiding, but it's always nice to hear cool stories of stuff people got up to during their time on Norrath .

My main guild was Blades of Light though sadly I was quite the immature player back then.

Druzzil Ro from 2000 until WoW death end of 2004 with Hoss. 2005 to 2006 was in Magister for a short time. Another guild before that on Erollisi Marr as well.
