There is a specific version of EQ that you need called "EQ Trilogy", which as far as I'm aware was only released over in the USA so if you're not from those parts (and even if you are) you're probably going to have a hard time getting hold of a physical copy. However, I'm fairly sure that there are people around here who could fix you up with a version sourced from elsewhere...but if that's the case they won't be allowed to talk about it openly on the forums and will have to do so via PM. But I do seem to recall that people have generally not been too worried about getting hold of a version from somewhere, so presumably it's not hugely difficult to sort out.

Wow, I had given up hope of EQC ever coming out ages ago, I actually have a boxed copy of Trilogy (and every other expac/release that old) sitting on my shelf still.

Increadibly heartening to see this open. Hoping to become a part of it

After playing for several levels now, this is the EQ I remember. Except from couple typos in perl quests, it's pretty solid to me. I don't see any reason to delay any further when this can be packaged and set open for the rest to see.

Many things such as correct animations, the sounds, and even when it becomes dark, it's really dark! What impressed me was the bard song particle effects. People say ah it's no big deal but this is definitely the bard I know! Thank you.

This is super exciting! If only I were allowed to PM!

I have been following this site since 2011 and am so excited to see this having come this far. I have a question as I tried to send a PM to apply for testing. (I have previous beta testing experience and played EQ, passionately, from release date to shortly after GoD.) There doesn't seem to be a PM button anywhere for me and my compose page is blank. Is it because I was quietly watching and not posting to a certain number of posts?

Great to see this appearing - as an avid player since day 1 live I really look forward to seeing this in action (although I can live without the double xp death penalty that was there originally ).

I agree Wizat, I can do without the double xp death penalty, but how can you call anything classic EQ without Hell Levels. It's what made you do your best to not get killed. Besides, if I am not mistaken, and I probably am, it only occurred every fifth level. It just made leveling to 10, 15,20 and so on, so much more interesting.
