I don't post enough to feel I'm a factor here, however, I don't really see the need to have a reward for this business. I'd rather you applied it back into the game, food for the developers, or donate it to autism or whatever cause you guys feel is worthy. This isn't some business enterprise, it's something we all feel strongly about and support for the end result (hopefully) of fun...so just treat yourselves to an ice cream sundae or something and don't worry about us

This post made me think about the rewarding a bit more and I completely agree. I understand you are doing it out of the goodness of your heart and maybe to keep the posts coming and community content but I wonder if you should change the system where people can only get votes from contributing information to the project. This way it is beneficial both ways, community members have a reason and now driven to get more information for developers and the developers now have constant help coming in.
So what I'm saying is:
-Developers post on the forums for information they need (Like Harakiri w/projectiles information)
-Community responds with their information that they have researched/know
-Devs/Community + or - with how useful or crappy the information is (minus being useful so people don't make crap up and do shoddy research.)
Anyway, I don't mean to complain about you being good to the community, I'm sure many think it's a great idea. I just think that it could be used towards helping the project a bit better and not just rewarding the community for something they'd be doing anyway (posting).
